Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is an upcoming Karan Johar’s film and is a drama and romance movie. The star cast includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma in leading roles alongside actor Ranbir Kapoor. If rumors are to be believed, Shahrukh Khan may also be in the movie, playing a cameo role against Aishwarya Rai. Along with these leading actors, one can also see Lisa Haydon, Deepti Naval, Fawad Khan and Imran Abbas. The movie is all set to be released on Diwali weekend of October 28, 2016.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Karan Johar have never done a movie together before “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil“. Karan Johar previously approached Aishwarya Rai, thrice for big budget movies, but Ash wasn’t able to accept the movie role at that time for some reason or other. Those movies were  Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham… (2001), and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), which were all a huge success.

In February 2016, at a conference in Harvard, Karan Johar revealed some information about the characters of this film. He told us that Ranbir Kapoor would play a Hindu boy character called  Ayan and Anushka Sharma plays a Muslim girl named Alizeh. Later on, he also confirmed that Aishwarya Rai’s character name is Saba Taliyar Khan and she would be a poet in the movie. Fawad Khan plays the role of a DJ (Disc Jockey) in the movie and he said that the “role is not exactly a cameo but it becomes a backbone for a certain conflict of a character in the movie.” Imran Abbas will be playing the role of the boyfriend of Anushka Sharma, while Lisa Haydon confirmed that her role is very small but really interesting. More details are awaited on the story and the characters.

Dharma Productions recently launched the movie trailer for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. We can’t wait to watch the movie. Here is the trailer. Enjoy!
