Aishwarya Rai
Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai will play a powerful woman who manages mob business in a new film with her husband and father-in-law, a newspaper reported on Monday.
In the movie Sarkar 2, Aishwarya Rai plays a daughter-in-law who moves from taking care of the home of an underworld kingpin to a shrewd manager of organized crime.
“She (Rai) will shock audiences” director Ram Gopal Varma told The Times of India newspaper. “To say she’ll be portrayed like never before would be an understatement.”
The movie is a sequel to the 2005 hit movie Sarkar about a ruthless mob boss played by Amitabh Bachchan and his son, Abhishek Bachchan, who stars as his right-hand man. It will be the first time the three actors appear on screen together after Rai wed Abhishek Bachchan last month.
The sequel takes the plot forward with the older Bachchan ailing and the younger Bachchan and Rai working together to ensure they retain control over his crime syndicate.
Varma did not disclose when he would start filming the movie, but the Indian media have reported shooting will start later this year.
A green-eyed former model, Rai, 33, will wear no makeup for her new role, Varma said.
“Nobody would expect a looker like her to portray such a dark character” he said. “Her beauty won’t be enhanced by filters and shaded lighting. She’ll be totally without makeup.”
One of Bollywood’s most recognizable faces abroad, Rai was at the Cannes Film Festival last week as part of a team of models for cosmetics company L’Oreal.

Aishwarya n Abhishek
Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai , made a quiet return to Mumbai on Wednesday after a month-long honeymoon in Europe.
Abhishek and Ash were personally received by Jaya Bachchan at the airport who had booked a private villa in Florence for the couple before they went to Cannes.
Their honeymoon was highlighted by several controversies and date problems.
Reportedly, they skipped the premiere of their film Guru in Cannes that has not gone well with the film director, Mani Ratam .
Ash and Abhishek seemed content to be in each other’s company and had their own plans of flying back home the very same day.
The other cast members of “Guru” attended the red-carpet event and also addressed the audiences and the media at the festival.
Sources say that Ash and Abhishek believe that they are long done with the film and any publicity exercise at this point is of no use.
Aishwarya Rai’s commitment with L’Oreal halted their honeymoon for a while. She was sighted posing for pictures with her L’Oreal counterparts. Ash also did not take part in the promotional events for her next film, Jodha Akhbar.
Supposedly, Abhishek and Ash would be flying to Yorkshire on June 7 to attend the International Film Festival.
Abhishek is expected to start shooting for his next film Laaga Chunari Mein Daag on June 11.
On the other hand, Aishwarya would soon be seen shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar “Jodha Akbar” that is scheduled to be released on October 12.
Update: Reportedly Jodha Akbar won the Best Movie Of The Year Award at Filmfare Awards function that was held at Yashraj Film Studios. Unfortunately Aishwarya Rai didn’t get any award!

Ash & Abhi From Guru
Recently, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were at Cannes. But for unknown reasons they were not present at the premiere of ‘Guru’, the movie of which they both are the leading actors.
Obviously, Mani Ratnam, the directory of the movie was not happy with their absecence. But still, the abscence of leading stars of the movie didn’t dampen the spirit and josh of the the premiere.
A close source of Ash says, “She is on a pleasure trip after a long time. Obviously, she didn’t want to think about work. The Guru premiere would have been followed by interviews and discussions. She has already interrupted her honeymoon for her earlier commitment to L’Oreal.”
To a great extent, it’s true that Aishwarya needed a much deserving break but stilll business ethics says something else.
