Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai was at Le Village, Rolland Garros stadium in Paris on 5th June’ 2010. It wasn’t a photoshoot, it wasn’t some advertisement thing. It wasn’t anything i know of. My guess would be that it has something to do with Longines promotion or something. Since Aishwarya is the brand ambassador of the company i guess this is related somehow. Probably we will soon find out in near future.

Those who do not know what Rolland Garros stadium is, well it’s the place where one of the grand slams  of lawn tennis “The French Open” takes place. This year Rafael Nadal took the french open cup defeating Soldering in three straight sets. I do not watch women’s lawn tennis match but i guess Serena Williams did take the title this year. Not sure and really don’t care!

Anyways, i have some pics of Aishwarya Rai from the Rolland Garros stadium. Let’s have a look! Because Aishwarya Rai looks one hot babe from Paris. Call it the french air magic or Aishwarya Rai’s stunning beauty! She can look awesome always…no matter what the color of her dress. But Oh my God!!! when she wears blue….Oooomph!!!! She takes my breath away….always!

Update: Some guy, who calls himself “SB” and who is even more crazier than me when it comes to sports mentioned, that the facts be corrected for the French Open results. I was right about Rafael Nadal and Soldering’s final and was right about the result as well. However, Serena Williams didn’t take the title. She in fact lost to 7th seeded Samantha Stosur of Australia in Quarter finals. Samantha went into the finals where she faced Italy’s Francesca Schiavone. Francesca won the title in two straight sets. Serena and Venus Williams however did win the Women’s double tournament this year. I hope i made this sports freak named “SB” happy now!

I guess Pritish Nandy doesn’t need any introduction. He is popular as a prolific journalist, filmmaker and a great poet. Pritish Nandy just launched his new book of poems titled “Again”. Aishwarya Rai along with Anupam Kher, MP Shashi Tharoor and Gulzar unveiled his book “Again” on evening of May 27′ 2010 at Crossword, Kemps Corner, Mumbai.

Aishwarya Rai looked cute and sweet in all white. She recently came back from what i should believe was pretty tiring hard work. I am talking about the Cannes Festival 2010. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan also spent some quality time together at Turkey’s capital, Istanbul where Abhishek Bachchan is shooting for a film, probably titled “Dum Maaro Dum”. The couple left for Istanbul on May 18th. And no Aishwarya is not a part of that movie. They just wanted to have a vacation together. Anyways, Aishwarya reached Mumbai just in time for Pritish Nandy’s book launch. She was wearing some white dress and had a light makeup on and as i mentioned earlier, she looked pretty and sweeeet.

Pritish Nandy, who is now 59, has published 17 volumes of poems since the age of 16. That is a big deal, no doubt. However it’s been a long time since he picked up his pen for writing poems, since his last volume was published way back in 1981 which was titled “The Rainbow Last Night”. In his latest book “Again”, if i am not wrong, there are 72 poems in there. I wish i can get a copy of that!

Anyways, as of what i know about the book launch event, Pritish Nandy, this brilliant man, was all nervous at the event. In his own words “Suddenly everyone has access to your innermost thoughts and beliefs. It doesn’t matter how many books you may have written, you still feel insecure, unsure, tentative, vulnerable.” I would agree to that. How true!!!!

So, like all book launch events, in the end, Pritish Nandy read some excerpts from the poems from his book “Again”.

When i heard that Aishwarya Rai wore an Indian designer saaree on May 17th’ 2010, i said, Oh Crap!!! Please tell me she pulled it off. Please tell me it wasn’t a disaster. But thank God, it wasn’t. Honestly, i do not trust Aishwarya’s judgment when it comes to saaree’s.

Anyways, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan delighted her fans, specially Indian fans, when she chose to walk the red carpet in a traditional Indian saaree. This happened on May 17th’ 2010 on the premier of the movie “Outrage”. Ofcoure in the 63rd Cannes Film Festival at Cannes, France.

Aishwarya Rai was accompanied by hubby Abhishek Bachchan and mum Mrs. Vrinda Rai.

Aishwarya’s saaree was designed by Kolkatta based well known Indian designer, Sabyasachi. Aishwarya wore the heavily embroidered, sheer, taupe sari with a forest green sleeveless blouse that had a revealing neckline. She looked extremely cute and stunning no doubt. She accentuated her demure look with sleekly pulled back, hair do with middle partition, a tradition Indian bindi, heavy eye makeup, pink blush and light lip gloss. Traditional again, haan? She accessorized with chunky diamond ear studs, but kept her neck bare, letting her stunning good looks and the sumptuous sari draw all the focus. What a women. Drop dead gorgeous.

Apparently, Aishwarya had carried several traditional Indian outfits to the event, all by Kolkata based designer Sabyasachi, who knew she would be walking the red carpet in one of them but wasn’t sure which one. Sabyasachi when contacted by a news agency said, “I have given her many outfits for her stint at Cannes this year because she wanted to wear something Indian this time but I am not sure which dress will she be wearing”. Well, hats off Aishwarya fior picking up the right dress that night. This was definitely your best red carpet walk ever. As for the Cannes 2010, this was the best ever 4 days, ever… But i guess we are still in for lot of surprises and we are yet to see better of Aishwarya Rai in the probably Cannes 2011

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked extremely beautiful when she appeared for the photocall of Mani Ratnam’s movie “Raavan” on May 17th’ 2010 in Cannes Film Festival at Cannes, France. Apparently, the sixth day of Cannes Fest, i never thought i will see more of Aishwarya Rai at Cannes 2010. But am glad i was wrong. Aishwarya simply looked awesome. I am running out of breath at the moment because Aishwyara Rai was a heady blend of incredible beauty, amazing styling, demure poise and an absolute damn fine pair of incredible legs at the “Raavan” photocall. Phew!!!! In simpler words, she looked amazingly hot!

I am guessing our regular members here on this site are pretty familiar with Mani Ratnam’s movie “Raavan”. Aishwarya Rai finally appeared on photocall with her husband, Abhishek Bachchan. Abhi of course has a vital role to play in the movie, so it’s good he finally showed up at Cannes. Abhishek plays the role of the protagonist in Mani Ratnam’s modern day take on the ancient Indian epic – The Ramayan. Or so it is believed. No one is sure yet about the actual story line. Anyways….

As for Aishwarya Rai’s dress up, she wore a form hugging LBD with an off shoulder bateau neckline and short sleeves. Her hair were set in lose curls with a middle parting. Accessorized with black towering T-strap heels and light diamond and gold jewelry. She supported a light day makeup. Nothing fancy doing this time. But she’s got a great pair of legs and her stunning facial beauty does all the magic. The Oooomph factor is probably much more than what one can handle. I have started to make no sense now….Losing my breath and senses now. LOL

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan presented her most awesome and stunning look at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival on May 14, 2010, which is the 3rd day of the movie festival, when she walked the red carpet for the premiere of Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.”

Aishwarya wore a one of a kind, really good looking Gucci magenta ruched chiffon gown that had a twisted halter neck, a satin waist band and a full floor-length skirt. Such is the grace of this beautiful woman that she wore a non revealing gown this day, had a sleeky swept back hair do, and yet captured the hearts of millions with her stunning facial features. I will always say that it’s all in her eyes. But…maybe it’s just me

She had a little makeup to go with the dress. Magenta rouge, smokey eyes and nude lip gloss which of course further accentuated her amazingly stunning beauty. Aishwarya Rai, over the years of her visits to Cannes, has definitely perfected her clothing choice, style, makeup and of course, the walk. She is a perfectionist and i really love her for the same reason. Anyways, Ash accessorized with stud ear tops, a gold bangle and a diamond bracelet on her left arm and a sliver clutch.

Aishwarya Rai definitely charmed her fans and is one of the most talked about celebrity at Cannes. All for good reasons…

She is definitely not taking any chances ever, with the clothing style. Having picked three designers for three days is something i didn’t expect or neither did anyone else. Perhaps it comes with the fact of being consistently voted the most beautiful woman in the world. If you have no idea at this point what i am talking about, then i would like to clarify that Aishwarya wore an Elie Saab on the festival opening day for the premiere of Robin Hood, Giorgio Armani Privé on day two and Gucci on day three. Get it!!!!

I’m not hundred percent sure on this, but i guess in the 5th pic here, i see Aishwarya’s mom, Mr.s Vrinda Rai standing alongside her. If that’s true then i really respect Aishwarya Rai even more because…. Come on, do i really need to explain? Bringing your mom to an international function, that the whole world is watching, that’s just so sweet of her.
