Yeah, i know, it’s been dozen times that you might have heard that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is pregnant. There was always a false pregnancy reports over the years, variously triggered by sumptuous dinners, lack of exercise or an ill fitting dress. But this time, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is pregnant for real. It was confirmed by father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan.

On June 20th midnight, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted to his fans “NEWS NEWS NEWS !! I AM GOING TO BECOME A GRANDFATHER .. AISHWARYA EXPECTING .. SO HAPPY AND THRILLED !!!” So there is the confirmation by the Big B himself

It was just minutes that Amitabh disclosed the news, the family was flooded with congratulatory messages in both real and virtual worlds. “Overwhelmed with your wishes and blessings. 2843 new tweets in half an hour! Thank you all! Your affection and love is so touching” Amitabh Bachchan tweeted later.

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, who recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary, this April, will be expecting their first child. The pair thanked their fans on Wednesday evening. They said “We are very happy and would like to thank all our well-wishers for their love, support and blessings“.

Abhishek Bachchan, is running high on emotions as he admits last night, as he quotes “We’ve all been trying to inform all our close friends about it. How do I feel? It’s not sunk in yet. There’s been no time. We’re still busy sharing the news with our friends. The realization will come later. Right now I’m, kind of, numb. It’s a big moment, yes.”

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, feels quiet the same way however is much more composed. She said “I guess it couldn’t be kept quiet. So now you know why I’ve been trying to stay out of the public eye lately. It’s still to sink in, really. Of course, Abhishek and I are super happy. But it is a matter of happiness for our entire family. And that makes all the difference“.

Amitabh Bachchan’s next tweets were:
“The child of Abhishek and Aishwarya shall be the first Bachchan of the generation after my brother and me …” soon followed by another tweet with clarification saying
“Clarifying : Amitabh and Ajitabh , first generation Bachchan … then Abhishek and Bhim and now Abhisheks and Aishwarya’s …”

Priyanka Chopra too showed her excitement as she tweeted “Congrats. Awesome news! Lets make way for the legacy to go forward”.

Aishwarya Rai is currently in Madhur Bhandarkar’s project called Heroine which is supposed to be finished with 45 days. So anytime in November, the film shooting shall be completed. Will Aishwarya’s pregnancy effect the shoot. Well, apparently, there is no reason why it will effect. According to a source “Madhur is not worried about Heroine’s promotions or how Ash’s pregnancy will affect the film’s success. We shouldn’t forget that Ash is a popular and successful actress and her getting married didn’t affect her fan following. She enjoys a loyal fan following and it will not be affected by her becoming a mom.” He also said “Madhur is looking to release the film around November this year and the promotional activities will be planned to suit Ash. For sure, the soon-to-be mom will be pampered by not just her family but her directors and co-stars too on the sets.”

After “Heroine”, Aishwarya Rai will not be seen on Silver Screen for a long long time…

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, has to be the best actress out there at present. With three huge movies, geared up for release, Aishwarya Rai simply rules the charts at present. Robot (Endhiran), Action Replay and Guzaarish are all mega budget, big banner movies. Undoubtedly she is the most sought-sought after Bollywood actress today. And i do believe, she is the only actress to have such a successful acting career even post marriage.

The actress says, “I don’t think it would be right on my part to gloat in this very generous observation. There have been many actors and actresses who have continued working post marriage for years. However, in the recent times, there has been a preconceived idea that probably leading ladies would not continue to work. I never paid attention to it. Even as a single girl, I never really thought about it. I never even wondered what will happen to me after marriage.

“I chose acting as a profession. Even at the beginning of my career, I never thought ‘Will it would be wise for me to play this role as a new girl? Should I do this later? Is a very girly role?’ I’m the same girl who did IRUVAR at the beginning of my career. I didn’t say give me four songs and short skirts and let me just jump around. That’s the kind of mindset with which I kept going very strongly.”

The 36-year-old further added, “Having said that, I must say that it does feel really nice that I have got meet a lot of like-minded professionals. I might want to work after marriage but there have to directors who want to work with me. There have to be directors who have to see me in roles and characters. I’m so blessed. It’s so wonderful that my faith has been kept in the professionals that I have worked with. Directors like Shankar, Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Leela Bhansali came to me with scripts. They didn’t say ‘Now you are married. What should we do with your role?’ None of the directors thought that.”

We hope she continues working in the same way for many more years and directors keep on offering her different roles.

Aishwarya Rai, reportedly turned down a $1 million offer for a documentary film on her life that would have involved cameras following her at home for a week.

According to Mid Day, the offer was made by a Hollywood studio on the lines of the one made to Shah Rukh Khan earlier.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan told the documentary producers that she would not allow anyone to film her at home, and subsequently didn’t relent in the face of persistent efforts by the producers.

Guess what, they could have asked me instead, “whether Aishwarya will take up the offer or not?”. Even i would have told ‘em the same thing. I don’t think any Indian actress will be ready to do that. What’s your take on the story?

The day when it was announced that actors Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as well as double Academy winner AR Rahman were coming together in a project titled Endhiran, people expected some magic from them.

Directed by S Shankar, the film is the costliest movie made in India to date, with a budget of approximately Rs140 crore and when the movie had its music release in Malaysia a couple of days back, anticipation and anxiousness were running riot about the fate of it.

But it looks like the movie might just justify the reason behind all the hype. Its music has already raced to the top of the world music charts, dismissing the likes of Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and even Rahman’s very own Slumdog Millionaire tracks, among other chart busters. He says, “There is no other beauty in our generation like Aishwarya Rai and she is a born artist.” He also jests that Ash’s father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan might not be too happy that he is praising his bahu. Hope the other Tamil actresses are listening!

All the rumors about Aishwarya Rai and Kate Winslet comes down to this. Seeing them together, people thought that they will share the screen soon. However it comes out that they will not be going for movie, instead they just finished shooting a commercial for Swiss luxury watch brand, Longines on July 20. The commercial includes our gorgeous beauty Aishwarya Rai, the beautiful Kate Winslet and Taiwanese model Chi Ling Lin.

Aishwarya rai and Kate Winslet are better known as L’Oreal brand ambassadors, which had prompted a large section of the Indian press to report that the two stars would be sharing screen space for a L’Oreal commercial. But that’s not true. Anyways, The new commercial will promote Longines’ DolceVita collection. Kate Winslet has been appointed as Longines brand ambassador recently, however Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Chi Ling Lin have been their ambassadors for pretty long time now!

Aishwarya Rai looked really beautiful in that pleated purple dress. The image on the side is the one she was wearing when she came out filming the whole Longines commercial so i guess that’w how she is going to be in the commercial. And i think all will agree, she looks Oooomph! Magical. Well, i love her anyways, so i can be overwhelmed and over exaggerating at lot many times. But i guess the truth still remains, that she indeed is the most beautiful of all.

I am not sure when this commercial is lined to be televised. I surely wish to see the three girls Aishwarya Rai, Kate Winslet and Chi Ling Lin, together. And that too sooner.
