Aishwarya Rai is back on the film sets. It was a long break from acting, considering the fact that it has been 9 months now that she gave a shot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish opposite co-star Hrithik Roshan. Well, This time, Aishwarya is shooting for the much anticipated Madhur Bhandarkar’s movie “Heroine“. It is special in many ways, but what i like the most challenging is that the film production is supposed to be wrapped in just 45 days. Phew! That will take some hard work. I hope this speed doesn’t effect the performances and storyline and the whole outcome of the movie.
Madhur Bhandarkar, a national award winning director, (if you don’t already know) is super excited with his most ambitious project ever. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was a part of the mahurat scene as the production of the movie begins today on June 7th 2011. It’s Tuesday. And i read an interesting fat about Madhur Bhandarkar in today’s Times of India newspaper. It says “Madhur, who is a devotee of lord Ganesha, has been following a trend of starting his movies on Tuesday as he considers it a lucky day for him. It is believed that just like every Tuesday he visited the Siddhivinayak temple in Mumbai today morning and then began the shoot.” Well, i believe it’s the director’s hard work, which got him real success. Because God helps those who help themselves.
Aishwarya Rai is the leading actress in the movie Heroine. There are two male leads i.e. Arjun Rampal and Arunodya Singh. Pretty interesting star cast, i must say. Aishwarya’s looks in the film is kept a secret but it will be Manish Malhotra who will be styling Aishwarya in the film. The movie “Heroine” was announced in May at the Cannes Film Festival.
According to press notes from Cannes “The film is based on the life and times of a superstar heroine from Bollywood. It is said to be an entertaining, daring, emotional, shocking, glamorous, scandalous behind the scenes account of the reality behind the world of glitz and glamor that the film stars inhabit. For a country obsessed with films and film stars, Heroine will take audiences on a voyeuristic journey to see what really goes on behind the closed doors of make up rooms and vanity vans. It will give them a chance to go beyond the gorgeous smiles and politically correct quotes, to see what really happens in the lives of India’s sweethearts – The sniping & the politics, the secrets & the lies, the incredible highs of fame & the lonely depths of failure.”
Madhur Bhandarkar considers this movie to be his magnum opus. Infact Madhur has made the entire Heroine cast and crew sign a non disclosure agreement and banned media and visitors from the film’s set, to preclude a plot leak. I like it. Becausepreviews and teasers kills the story sometimes. This is going to be better
Except the fim to be released somewhere in November this year. Madhur Bhandarkar hasn’t announced the release date though. We will just keep a lookout on the news for further details.

UTV have released the First Look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish, headlining Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai.

The 1min 48sec long trailer focuses entirely on Hrithik and Aishwarya and is sans dialog.
Delightful visuals, exhilarating background score, elaborate costumes, and understated but intense emotions – the promo has a signature Bhansali look and feel. It reminds you of Black, it reminds you of Saawariya.
As to the plot, the trailer reiterates the little that is known about it – Hrithik Roshan is a magician, Aishwarya her assistant. A twist of fate, perhaps, turns Hrithik into a wheel chair bound parapeligic, and Aishwaray to his deeply caring nurse. What pervades is love, even crazed laughter.
And yes, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is seen smoking in the film. I don’t know if it’s like a real cigarette or what? I have just seen images for the same.
Guzaarish releases in theatres on November 19. Hopefully, this is going to be one movie that brings justice to Aishwarya Rai’s hard work that she has put in this year.
I won’t say that high expectations from this movie, but then, this is Sanjay Leela Bhansali, that we are talking about. This movie has to be good. What do you say?

Aishwarya Rai
Aishwarya Rai has had such a busy 2010. And now, the news is that Aishwarya Rai will reportedly play lead in Shyam Benegal’s next, a female oriented film that will begin production, somewhere in 2011.
The film is described as a special project that takes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan into a different time zone. However, it is not a period film. Aishwarya told DNA, “I’ve been working so hard this year that I haven’t had a chance to look at scripts. But yes, the one that Shyam Benegal has given me is very very special. We’ve been meaning to work with one another for years.”
Shyam Benegal (if you don’t already know him) is a prolific Indian director and screenwriter. With his first four feature films Ankur (1973), Nishant (1975) Manthan (1976) and Bhumika (1977) he created a new genre, which has now come to be called the “middle cinema” in India. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1976 and the Padma Bhushan in 1991. On 8 August 2007, he was awarded the highest award in Indian cinema for lifetime achievement, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2005. He has won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi seven times. His last movie was in year 2009, named “Well Done Abba”. And it was really really a great movie. So high expectations again from the next movie :d
Aishwarya Rai has still lot movies coming up. Here is the list of the forthcoming films:
- Endhiran directed by Shankar with co-stars Rajnikant and Danny Denzongpa due in theaters on September 24.
- Action Replayy directed by Vipul Amrutlal Shah with co-stars Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Neha Dhupia, Randhir Kapoor and Ranvijay Singh due for release on November 5.
- Guzaarish directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali with co-stars Hrithik Roshan, Aditya Bal, Monikangana Dutta and Nafisa Ali due in theaters on November 19.
I seriously have great expectation from all these movies. I hope they do not meet with the same fate that our Beera “Raavan” had. At least Guzaarish will be a major hit, am pretty sure about that.

After having gone through a rough patch in the flick ‘Raavan’, the couple, Aishwarya and Abhishek has almost been regarded as a not so successful couple on screen. Right after their amazing on screen chemistry in the Mani Ratnam flick ‘Guru’, the same positive vibes were expected from the duo in ‘Raavan’, too, but, inspite of the same director, Mani Sir having given the great dimensions to the flick, something drastically went wrong.
Thus, ‘Raavan’, almost made Ash and Abhi, the real couple, a not so hot and happening one in reel life! Insiders reveal that, the sizzling chemistry no longer is visible between Ash and Abhi. However, there are yet some film makers in B-Town, who still have faith in this real life couple, and a flick with the two starring as a lead pair just might start rolling soon. Reports are that director Abhishek Kapoor is toying with the idea of making a film on writer.
Chetan Bhagat’s book titled ‘3 Mistakes of My Life’. For the flick, he is on the verge of signing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan as the lead pair. We just hope this flick does not become a mistake in the couple’s life too!
Now, speculations have already started doing the rounds, as some are quite skeptical about the outcome of the flick, as this particular book is not as popular as the other books, written by the same writer. This entire rattle, along with the gossip that Ash and Abhi have now become a thanda (cold) pair on screen, is now the hot topic of conversation at coffee shops and near water coolers at offices! What’s your take?

Action Replayy
Another super anticipated movie “Action Replay” is to be launched this year.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan srely has lot of big budget movies up her sleeves this year. And it’s all for the very obvious reason because she is the best actress and the most beautiful woman in Tinsel Town of Bollywood.
“Action Replay” is a comedy theme movie being directed by Vipul Shah. I guess we have already talked about the movie many a times. It stars one of my favorite jodis (pair) in Bollywood, i.e. Aishwarya Rai and Akshay Kumar. Anyways, as i was saying, the movie is on the verge of completion. According to some sources, which basically are few of Akshay Kumar tweets, the pair of Akshay and Aishwarya are in Manali shooting some final song sequences. Apart from that part, the movie is almost complete.
Action Replay is planned for a Diwali release on November 5. It is Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai’s second film together after Khakee, in which they were not romantically paired. Probably the only movie where Aishwarya Rai had a negative role. On other hand, Action Replay will be Vipul Shah’s first movie with Aishwarya Raiand fifth movie with Akshay Kumar. Previous movies being Aankhen, Waqt – Race Against Time, Namastey London and Singh is Kinng. All were pretty hit movies. He is definitely getting better with time and experience.
Here are some of the tweets that Akshay Kumar posted on his twitter on July 12th 2010:
“I am now sitting in my van being tortured by my make up artist to look like an old haggard man in the stunning mountains of Manali.”
“About to shoot the much awaited song with Ash who still looks 21 even when they try and make her look 50!”
“For the record i hate make up, so Vipul Shah you owe me a Bentley
cant believe in 3 days Action Replay will be wrapped
”
Anyways, i seriously have high hopes from the movie. And i am expecting lot of accolades for Aishwarya Rai for the movie Action Replay. For your information, super comedy series Golmaal 3 is also scheduled for the release on the same day. Fingers crossed.
