Sources reveal that the lady is boycotting the award ceremony because the function is associated with the mother company of that same tabloid magazine. The actress was reportedly offered a whopping Rs 85 lakhs for a dance performance. “Main nahi nachhungi (I won’t dance) no matter how strong the lure of lucre”. That’s the message Ash seems to be sending. Aishwarya, who rarely dances at events after her marriage, did agree to this particular function after a lot of consideration. But the moment she came to know that the particular tabloid was involved with the function, she backed out.

Ash is demanding an apology from the tabloid and the whole Bachchan parivar is with her, supporting this decision. She has even mailed the tabloid about the slanderous report and asked for an apology, Abhishek had blasted the daily on Twitter. Even Big B had lambasted the report asking the concerned people for due apology. But no apology has come from the tabloid till now.

It’s not nice to see Angry Aishwarya Rai because she is a doll and not meant to be angry young woman. But i guess the tabloid made a big mistake which they should have realized and apologized for. So hoping some minds at tabloid are mature enough to realize their mistake.

The movie is based on famous Indian epic, Ramayana. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be playing the character of Sita and hubby Abhishek Bachchan will play the character of Ram and Govinda will play the role of Hanuman. In real life, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is quite a good singer but not good enough to sing classical songs. For her role, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan wants to sing all the songs by herself. She will take lessons from a guru.

Currently, Farhan Akhtar has become hugely popular by singing songs in Rock On!! but there are several actors and actresses in Bollywood who sang for their roles.

Farhan Akhtar’s step mother, Shabana Azmi also underwent training to sing her songs in Morning Raga. Among the Khans, Aamir Khan became very much popular singing “Aati Kya Khandala” in Ghulam. Shah Rukh Khan tried his luck in Josh (2000).

Last but not the least, mega star Amitabh Bachchan sang several songs in his movies and some of them are very much popular even today.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan are also going to star in the remake of famous classical movie, Abhimaan (1973). In the original version, the central characters were played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s in-laws; Jaya Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan. Jaya Bachchan played the role of a singer and so will Aishwarya Bachchan.

Rai, one of only a handful of Bollywood stars with crossover appeal thanks to films such as Bride And Prejudice, married fellow star Abhishek Bachchan in April, creating what Indian media have dubbed the “ultimate power couple.”

Rai spoke to AFP on Saturday at Leeds Metropolitan University, north England where her father-in-law, actress Shabana Azmi and producer/director Yash Chopra received honorary degrees during the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFAs).

Asked how it feels being part of such a famous family, she laughed, cast a glimpse towards her nearby husband and said: “It’s all great — well, they’re family to me and that’s what makes it most special.”

The emerald-eyed beauty also spoke of her excitement at the “Unforgettable” world tour, kicking off in April 2008, when she will appear on stage with Bachchan father and son for the first time.

“I’ve been on world tours before which are always a fantastic experience because that’s your opportunity to really interact with your wellwishers, fans, world over in person,” she said.

“It’s great fun, we have a blast and this time it will be definitely unforgettable to me, literally too, because I’m going to be with my loved ones and with the fantastic groups that we tour with.”

Rai has no complaints about the warmth of the reception she has received during the IIFAs in Britain, insisting that the Bollywood film industry here is booming.

“It’s wonderful so far, the people here have been really, really warm and affectionate and we’re enjoying the welcome,” she said.

“The fact is that the film industry enjoys incredible support already in this country … actually we really do enjoy a fantastic support, a great audience and a very, very comfortable place here.”

Rai was nominated for the best actress award at the IIFA awards Saturday night for the hit action thriller Dhoom 2, which also stars her husband. But she lost out to Rani Mukherjee in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
