Alright, so it’s May 13th’ 2010, the second day at 63rd Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. And the day couldn’t be better as the city is literally star studded at this moment.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked stunning on the very first day of Cannes Film Festival. After making a beauty statement on day 1, Aishwarya Rai upped the glamor and style quotient on Day 2. She looked extremely beautiful in a Giorgio Armani Privé black evening gown at the Palais des Festivals.

Aishwarya’s strapless gown had layered embroidery in lacquered black jet beads and multicolored crystals at the bust. The gown stops just before the floor, so we can see her silver satin heels with a cute bow accent. I am not sure but i believe she is accessorized with a Ferragamo black satin clutch.

Anyways, Aishwarya Rai once again walked the red carpet with fellow L’Oreal brand ambassador Eva Longoria for the French film La Tournee (On Tour), directed by Mathieu Amalric. Besides doing the honors for the cosmetic brand, Aishwarya is also promoting her film Raavan at the festival. She wore a violet fully embroidered tulle and mousseline gown from Elie Saab and believe me, no way did she look 36. Aishwarya had a different look this time. She had her hair done up in a pompadour updo and she was amazing.

Seems like Aishwarya Rai flies around the world faster than the volcanic ash did. Ash, who was in Mumbai just a few days ago, has again gone off to attend some important events abroad.

She will soon be busy with the promotion of Mani Ratnam’s film with hubby Abhishek and south star Vikram, ‘Raavan’. Then she has to go for the Cannes Festival.

She also has to give her time for a ninety day schedule for the shooting of the Nikhil Advani film ‘Patiala House,’ with Akshay Kumar.

Now, all this is leaving the director Vipul Shah, jittery and dry. According to reports, his film ‘Action Replayy’, which stars Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai, is yet to get completed. As the main song, which received much publicity recently, is yet to be shot. Apart from that, the entire shoot for the film is complete.

But, due to the busy schedules of both the stars, there is no scope for the song pictirisation to get started, forget completion.

So, the workaholic and helpful Aishwarya, made a suggestion. She asked Vipul to fly to London with his crew, and she would fly from Cannes, so AkshayKumar and she would be able to give him time for night shifts. Vipul Shah, who is a friend of Nikhil Advani, is not sure as to how he can go for this suggestion by Ash.

And not think of the time and money that the director, Nikhil Advani would lose because of this So, the director, who anyway has shifted his date of release from July to September, and can afford to wait for a few days Now, it remains to be seen what Ash has to say to this!.

Cannes Film Festival that began on May13th ’2009 saw many famous celebrities from Hollywood and even more from international arena including our favorite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The Film Festival came to an end, few days back on May 24 after screening around 20 internationally praised movies of 2009. The prestigious Palme d’Or was awarded to Michael Haneke for his movie “Das Weisse Band” (The White Ribbon) during the Closing Ceremony of the 62nd Cannes Film Festival.

Anyways, you might have often wondered how do famous stars of tinsel town interact with each other. How do they greet, acknowledge and behave when they meet up at the corridors of their hotels. I have noticed that many people do not really know the meaning of the word “Candid”. First of all, no, it has nothing to do with words like “nude” or “naked”. The word candid actually means that it’s a camera capture where the subject is not staging for the pic. Probably a wikipedia definition will clear out the meaning of “Candid” in a better way. It says “Candid photography is photography that focuses on spontaneity rather than technique, on the immersion of a camera within events rather than focusing on setting up a staged situation or on preparing a lengthy camera setup.”
