Aishwarya Rai

Seems like Aishwarya Rai flies around the world faster than the volcanic ash did. Ash, who was in Mumbai just a few days ago, has again gone off to attend some important events abroad.

She will soon be busy with the promotion of Mani Ratnam’s film with hubby Abhishek and south star Vikram, ‘Raavan’. Then she has to go for the Cannes Festival.

She also has to give her time for a ninety day schedule for the shooting of the Nikhil Advani film ‘Patiala House,’ with Akshay Kumar.

Now, all this is leaving the director Vipul Shah, jittery and dry. According to reports, his film ‘Action Replayy’, which stars Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai, is yet to get completed. As the main song, which received much publicity recently, is yet to be shot. Apart from that, the entire shoot for the film is complete.

But, due to the busy schedules of both the stars, there is no scope for the song pictirisation to get started, forget completion.

So, the workaholic and helpful Aishwarya, made a suggestion. She asked Vipul to fly to London with his crew, and she would fly from Cannes, so AkshayKumar and she would be able to give him time for night shifts. Vipul Shah, who is a friend of Nikhil Advani, is not sure as to how he can go for this suggestion by Ash.

And not think of the time and money that the director, Nikhil Advani would lose because of this So, the director, who anyway has shifted his date of release from July to September, and can afford to wait for a few days Now, it remains to be seen what Ash has to say to this!.

Aishwarya Rai Ready For More Tamil Films

Aishwarya Rai started her film career with Mani Ratnam’s Tamil film Iruvar in 1997, but says she feels “confident” about doing more Tamil films only now after the multilingual Raavan with the National Award winning director.

“I understand a bit of Tamil and speak a bit of it. For me, it is very important that I understand the meaning of my dialogues before I deliver them. I can’t just mug up the dialogues. So for Raavan, I made sure I knew what I was saying and yes, I have improved a lot on the language and I am confident about doing more Tamil stuff in future,” Aishwarya said.

“After Raavan, it was like – Come on! Bring on Robot (now Endhiran),” she told reporters at the music launch of Raavan here Saturday.

Raavan is Ratnam’s much-awaited project and also stars Abhishek Bachchan, southern superstar Vikram and Bhojpuri star Ravi Kishan. The movie has been simultaneously shot in Hindi and Tamil, with a slightly different cast.

Aishwarya plays Ragini, a classical dance teacher. The first look into the movie shows her dancing gracefully in a song where she has been picturised getting cosy with Vikram, who plays her husband in the Hindi version of the film.

One mention of how beautiful the dance moves looked, and Aishwarya said: “Aww…Thank you so much.” Talking about her role, she said: “This was an extremely challenging role for me. To shoot it in Hindi and Tamil at the same time was quite a task. But the experience was so wonderful that if Mani sir asks me, I am ready to do it all over again.”

According to the 36-year-old, her role was a discovery and a mystery. “Ragini is a strong woman and very relatable to the modern Indian woman. She speaks her mind. I say discovery because we kept discovering fantastic locations and got to see so many places. We used to trek every morning to be on the sets.

“The role remained a mystery because I was playing the leading lady and there I was with no make-up, no fancy clothes and all drenched in rain with mud all over. But that’s what Mani sir expects from us to keep it all as real as it can get,” she said.

Aishwarya says they used to give shots with “snakes a whisper away” and that they “must have donated blood to 300 leeches”. “All in all, it was an incredibly original experience. It was almost like being on a Fear Factor show,” she added. The movie, co-produced by Reliance BIG Pictures and Madras Talkies, is expected to release June 18.

Raavan

I know you’ve been waiting for these lyrics. I know i have been looking all over the market for the Audio CD. And when i finally found one, i saw this huge CD cover inside, and all the portions if the CD cover has beautiful snapshots from the movie in background, with lyrics of all the songs in front. I particularly wanted to share the lyrics of the already popular song “Beera Beera” from the film “Raavan”. This song is sung by Vijay Prakash and Mustafa Kutoane to the tunes of the great A.R.Rahman and on the lyrics of Gulzar Saab. :)

Beera….
Beera beera beera beera
Beera beera beera beera

Beera ke das maathe, beera ke sau naam
Chhede jo beera ko…
Dhana dhan dham dham…

Beera beera beera beera

Arre Beera uthti aandhi,
Beera ek toofan
Saans mein ugle agni
Beera jalti jaan jalti jaan jalti jaan

Janm na poocho jaat na pucho
Pucho jo pehchaan
Beera ka abhimaan hai abhimaan hai… Beera.

Beera beera beera
dhana dhan dham dham…

If you want any other lyrics, i ain’t writing it again. Go buy yourself a CD. Do not download the music. Buy it. Kill Piracy!

Aishwarya Rai Starrer Raavan’s Music Released

Raavan

Just 4-5 days ago, i mentioned about Mani Ratnam’s new movie “Raavan”‘s teaser trailer coming on air. Well the movie teaser has already built up lot of excitement in the crowd. Abhishek Bachchan jumping off the cliff, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan coming out of deep water and then Abhishek riding a bike in early dawn, with sunrise in the background and excellent Beera Beera music to go along with the scene. I am already humming the tune of the song as i write this news. :)

The same day when the news about the movie preview came out, Mani Ratnam addressed the media and said that he will e launching the music on 24th April’2010. Yesterday, he did release the music as promised. It wasn’t a simple release. The songs of  much awaited movie “Raavan” starting Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vikram has been released. Mani Ratnam had held the release function in Mumbai where the king of music A.R. Rahman performed live. I don’t think Aishwarya Rai was present at the function but father in law, the legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan and hubby Abhishek Bachchan was present at the music launch ceremony, as per some online resources. The couple had celebrated their Third Anniversary recently somewhere in United States and must have just come back to be on the music launch.

Anyways…. A.R. Rahman, as we all know, is a genius when it comes to music. And i am pretty confident that music of Raavan is going to be a superhit as well. A.R. Rahman will be creating magic for Tamil version of the movie as well. Apparently, the one of the best voices in India or for that matter, “the world”, Asha Bhosle has sung a song for the Tamil version.

Ok, so for the song. Raavan movie has 6 songs. Composed by oscar winner A.R. Rahman and lyrics by the very special Gulzar. Here is the list of all those six songs from the movie.

No. Title Artist(s) Length
1. Beera Beera Vijay Prakash, Mustafa Kutoane 3:15
2. Behene De Karthik,Mohammed Irfan 6:04
3. Thok De Killi Sukhwinder Singh, Am’Nico 4:58
4. Ranjha Ranjha Rekha Bhardwaj, Javed Ali 5:54
5. Khilli Re Reena Bhardwaj 4:11
6. Kata Kata Ila Arun, Sapna Awasthi, Kunal Ganjawala 5:11

Ofcourse hoping all the songs are big hit. Already singing “Beera Beera” now. Can’t wait to get my hands on the CD :)

Action Replay Will Be Aishwarya’s First Full Fledged Comedy

Posted By AishwaryaWeb on 16th April 2010

Aishwarya Rai

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has lot of movies in line this year. But even i never noticed Aishwarya, till date has not acted in a complete comedy movie. However as per director of the movie, Vipul Shah, says that “Action Replay” will bring to the audiences her first full-fledged comedy. Of course comedy, which is the hardest genre to do, is not taken seriously at the awards. But in my film, Aishwarya has done comedy for the first time. She may have attempted it here and there earlier. But this is her first full-fledged comedy role. But she’s welcome to get the awards for her other two releases…I don’t mind”

Wonder what two movies Vipul Shah was talking about? Mani Ratnam’s “Raavan” and Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Guzaarish” are the other two films she will be doing this year. While “Raavan” is slated for a June 18 release, Vipul Shah is all set to release his film “Action Replay” in July, arguing that the two films are completely different in mood, theme and treatment. Bhansali’s “Guzaarish”, on other hand, is set to release sometime in November. So it’s definitely a big time for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Ummm..Keeping my finger crossed…

Seems like Vipul Shah has learned some lesson from past mistake. He had a bitter experience last year when his Salman Khan starrer “London Dreams” released a month after the actor’s home production “Main Aur Mrs.Khanna“. Now apparently Shah plans to sit down with Mani Ratnam and figure out a release strategy whereby neither film suffers. He said: “Raavan and Action Replay are very different films. And I thought I’d release (mine) in July. But I think I’ll now discuss it with Aishwarya and Mani Ratnam. We need to work as one big family in this industry.”

“Besides, I still have a song to shoot whereas Raavan is complete. I’ve yet to figure out when I can shoot it because both Aishwarya and Akshay are constantly traveling. We were supposed to shoot it earlier this year in the snow in Manali. Now we may go higher up at the Rohtang Pass or change the location for the song completely,” the director added.
