It’s the world premiere of Mani Ratnam’s movie “Raavan” and the lovely couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan arrives in London in style. Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan with wife Jaya Bachchan also came along at the premiere along with the director Mani Ratnam and music guru A.R. Rehman!

The Bachchan’s family along with the cast and crew of “Raavan” arrived at British Film Institute Southbank complex next to the River Thames in central London where they were treated with red carpet with lots and lots of fans arriving to get a glimpse of the stars.

Aishwarya Rai looked resplendent and excruciatingly beautiful in a heavily embroidered Sabyasachi saree. The saree was pretty good, but Oh My God! The blouse was really really terrible. She walked the red carpet with husband Abhishek Bachchan wearing a long sleeve, high blouse with a boat neck that awkwardly revealed a lot of midriff through the sheer pallav of the sari. We didn’t get the point of combining a very modest neckline with a very immodest hemline making the blouse look like something you could wear to the gym for a workout. :lol .

Her blouse sleeves were covered with heavy white floral embroidery. Aishwarya Rai, accessorized with a black studded purse, diamond drop earrings and multiple rings in both her hands. Her hair was retro styled in a face slimming bouffant updo. Her make up was also pretty much retro style: Pink lip color, metallic eye shadow and thick black extended eye liner.

Shah Rukh Khan, wife Gauri and their two children joined the Bachchans on the occasion, adding considerable star power to the event at London’s BFI Southbank cinema.

When i heard that Aishwarya Rai wore an Indian designer saaree on May 17th’ 2010, i said, Oh Crap!!! Please tell me she pulled it off. Please tell me it wasn’t a disaster. But thank God, it wasn’t. Honestly, i do not trust Aishwarya’s judgment when it comes to saaree’s.

Anyways, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan delighted her fans, specially Indian fans, when she chose to walk the red carpet in a traditional Indian saaree. This happened on May 17th’ 2010 on the premier of the movie “Outrage”. Ofcoure in the 63rd Cannes Film Festival at Cannes, France.

Aishwarya Rai was accompanied by hubby Abhishek Bachchan and mum Mrs. Vrinda Rai.

Aishwarya’s saaree was designed by Kolkatta based well known Indian designer, Sabyasachi. Aishwarya wore the heavily embroidered, sheer, taupe sari with a forest green sleeveless blouse that had a revealing neckline. She looked extremely cute and stunning no doubt. She accentuated her demure look with sleekly pulled back, hair do with middle partition, a tradition Indian bindi, heavy eye makeup, pink blush and light lip gloss. Traditional again, haan? She accessorized with chunky diamond ear studs, but kept her neck bare, letting her stunning good looks and the sumptuous sari draw all the focus. What a women. Drop dead gorgeous.

Apparently, Aishwarya had carried several traditional Indian outfits to the event, all by Kolkata based designer Sabyasachi, who knew she would be walking the red carpet in one of them but wasn’t sure which one. Sabyasachi when contacted by a news agency said, “I have given her many outfits for her stint at Cannes this year because she wanted to wear something Indian this time but I am not sure which dress will she be wearing”. Well, hats off Aishwarya fior picking up the right dress that night. This was definitely your best red carpet walk ever. As for the Cannes 2010, this was the best ever 4 days, ever… But i guess we are still in for lot of surprises and we are yet to see better of Aishwarya Rai in the probably Cannes 2011

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan presented her most awesome and stunning look at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival on May 14, 2010, which is the 3rd day of the movie festival, when she walked the red carpet for the premiere of Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps.”

Aishwarya wore a one of a kind, really good looking Gucci magenta ruched chiffon gown that had a twisted halter neck, a satin waist band and a full floor-length skirt. Such is the grace of this beautiful woman that she wore a non revealing gown this day, had a sleeky swept back hair do, and yet captured the hearts of millions with her stunning facial features. I will always say that it’s all in her eyes. But…maybe it’s just me

She had a little makeup to go with the dress. Magenta rouge, smokey eyes and nude lip gloss which of course further accentuated her amazingly stunning beauty. Aishwarya Rai, over the years of her visits to Cannes, has definitely perfected her clothing choice, style, makeup and of course, the walk. She is a perfectionist and i really love her for the same reason. Anyways, Ash accessorized with stud ear tops, a gold bangle and a diamond bracelet on her left arm and a sliver clutch.

Aishwarya Rai definitely charmed her fans and is one of the most talked about celebrity at Cannes. All for good reasons…

She is definitely not taking any chances ever, with the clothing style. Having picked three designers for three days is something i didn’t expect or neither did anyone else. Perhaps it comes with the fact of being consistently voted the most beautiful woman in the world. If you have no idea at this point what i am talking about, then i would like to clarify that Aishwarya wore an Elie Saab on the festival opening day for the premiere of Robin Hood, Giorgio Armani Privé on day two and Gucci on day three. Get it!!!!

I’m not hundred percent sure on this, but i guess in the 5th pic here, i see Aishwarya’s mom, Mr.s Vrinda Rai standing alongside her. If that’s true then i really respect Aishwarya Rai even more because…. Come on, do i really need to explain? Bringing your mom to an international function, that the whole world is watching, that’s just so sweet of her.

Hello everyone. So we mentioned in our last post about Aishwarya Rai’s photocall at Day 2. We already killed the surprise there and then we mentioned about her Emilio Pucci dress. Well, sorry about that but i guess you will still love to see how Aishwarya Rai really looks in that dress. Well the general verdict is that Aishwarya Rai looked extremely gorgeous with her stunning beauty at a photocall on Day 2 of the 63rd Annual International Cannes Film Festival. This happened on 13th May’2010. So i again apologize for being a lazy ass.

It’s amazing how much focus is really given to dresses and accessories that the celebrities like Aishwarya Rai wear to the Cannes Film Festival. My God!!! That must be one hell of a week for every celebrity who dares to walk the red carpet. And you though being a celebrity was easy. Anyways….

Aishwarya Rai, as mentioned earlier wore a Emilio Pucci dress to the Photocall for Tournee on Day 2 Of Cannes Film festival. These photocalls on day 2 were on the Martinez Terrace. I didn’t want to mention it but i guess people who are lot crazy about fashion would really wanna know. Aishwarya is wearing Christian Louboutin sandals. There, i said it….no more details now.

Aishwarya Rai looked even more beautiful on the third day of Cannes Film Festival 2010, but before we move into the third day, there is one more thing. Aishwarya Rai had an interview regarding the movie “Raavan” n the same day. She was wearing the same Emilio Pucci dress that you see in the picture above, so am guessing the video was shot just after the photocall session. Alright, so it’s May 13th’ 2010, the second day at 63rd Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France. And the day couldn’t be better as the city is literally star studded at this moment.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked stunning on the very first day of Cannes Film Festival. After making a beauty statement on day 1, Aishwarya Rai upped the glamor and style quotient on Day 2. She looked extremely beautiful in a Giorgio Armani Privé black evening gown at the Palais des Festivals.

Aishwarya’s strapless gown had layered embroidery in lacquered black jet beads and multicolored crystals at the bust. The gown stops just before the floor, so we can see her silver satin heels with a cute bow accent. I am not sure but i believe she is accessorized with a Ferragamo black satin clutch.

Anyways, Aishwarya Rai once again walked the red carpet with fellow L’Oreal brand ambassador Eva Longoria for the French film La Tournee (On Tour), directed by Mathieu Amalric. Besides doing the honors for the cosmetic brand, Aishwarya is also promoting her film Raavan at the festival. If you’re wondering why Abhishek Bachchan ain’t present in any of the red carpet walks with Aishwarya Rai, well i think he is busy shooting for some movie and is supposed to join Aishwarya in France on May 17. Besides, he is the leading actor in Raavan. He has to be with Aishwarya for the movie promotions if not anything else.
