Aishwarya Abhishek Match - The Astrologers Way

Posted by Aishwarya Rai Fan Club on 16th January 2007

aishwarya_abhishekh.jpgNow that Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, two of Bollywood’s brightest stars, have announced their engagement, attention in India is turning to what celestial luminaries have to say about the pending union.

The couple got engaged in a private ceremony on Sunday, and like most traditional Hindus, astrologers were consulted to see if the two were a suitable match before rings were exchanged.

Some astrologers are predicting the most auspicious time for a wedding (anytime before October) between the former Miss World and Bachchan, the son of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchcan. Others are speculating about how Aishwarya Rai, believed to have been born under an unlucky sign, can thwart her fate and find lasting love (difficult, but not impossible). Oh! That’s can’t be true!

The couple has not set a date for the wedding, but astrologer Sanjay B. Jumaani was quoted as saying in Tuesday’s edition of the Times of India newspaper that it was auspicious for them to marry before prospective father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday in October, but not after Aishwarya Rai’s birthday in November.

aishwarya_abhishekh1.jpgAishwarya Rai has also participated in a number of religious ceremonies in recent months in a bid to overcome the fact that she is considered an unlucky match for Bachchan. According to Hinduism, Aishwarya is a mangalik, or someone with Mars in her horoscope. “This indicates a propensity towards danger to life, unhappiness at home, divorce or separation, sickness, loss of business or hotheadedness,” celebrated astrologer Jajgit Uppal told the Hindustan Times newspaper.

In November, Rai’s and Bachchan’s families made offerings at a temple in the Hindu holy city of Varanasi, an act reportedly intended to appease Mars.

Two weeks before the engagement, Rai and her mother visited a Hindu temple at another holy town, Pushkar. Temple priest Sri Sompuriji was quoted as saying by the Mumbai Mirror newspaper that Rai was given a prayer chant or “mantra” to repeat to make her dreams come true.

However, Uppal warned these measures might not be enough.

“Couples fulfill these (ceremonies) for peace of mind. But classical astrologers believe you cannot be the arbiter of destiny,” he told the paper, adding that it was better if a “mangalik” married another.

Huh? Alright Mr. Uppal, let’s see what offering by 1 billion people in Indi can do. Maybe then you will say that the measures are more than enough.  :)

We at Aishwarya Web.com would like to wish Aishwarya Rai and Abhishekh Bachchan, all the best and all the success in their married life. God bless you!!!

Aishwarya Has Been Hounded Throughout 2006

Posted by Aishwarya Rai Fan Club on 31st December 2006

aishwarya_praying.jpgAishwarya Rai and her family are amused and xasperated by media reports claiming that a clarification has been issued about the supposedly drunken bodyguard’s high-handed conduct at the Pushkar temple last week when the actress paid a visit there.”No such clarification has been issued,” said a very dependable source. “Because no incident happened at the Pushkar temple. The entire episode is as fabricated as the priest at the Madurai temple who’s supposed to have seen Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan exchange garlands.

“We challenge the priest to come forward and please tell us when the two exchanged garlands. The Pushkar incident is again an example of the hounding that Aishwarya and her family have been facing throughout 2006.”

Explaining the true picture isn’t easy. But a close friend of Aishwarya tried her best to put the matter into a perspective.

The friend said: “Look, Aishwarya has been visiting temples and dargahs for years now. It’s her habit to visit religious places wherever she is shooting. Since Ashutosh Gowariker’s schedule in Rajasthan for ‘Jodha-Akbar’ was over, she decided to visit the temple and dargah before leaving the place.

“She has been doing the same during all her outdoor shootings. Why is such a big deal being made if she visited a dargah or a temple this time? Why attribute hidden meanings and agendas to such simple and gestures? Aishwarya tried to keep her visit to the holy places as low profile as possible. What can she do if everything she does gets blown out of all proportions?’

There’s much distress among the actress’ friends and family over her constant media-association with Abhishek as well.

Aishwarya’s close friends feel she has been hounded throughout 2006.

“There’s more to her than whom she’s seeing. She is keeping quiet because that’s her nature. But she’s far from amused by all the speculation about her life,” said another source close to the actress.

“Even the issue about someone sending her money in an envelope from South Africa was blown out of all proportions. She had no knowledge of the man or his money. She did whatever the law required. Now nearly two months have passed. When the authorities know who sent her the money, why hasn’t anything been done to question him?”

Who says so. She still looks to be in her early 20’s. Gorgeous, isn’t she.

A night before her birthday, director J.P. Dutta held a special screening of “Umrao Jaan”, which is releasing Friday, at Film City for the families of lead actors - Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.

Aishwarya To Marry Abhishek. Wow

Posted by Aishwarya Rai Fan Club on 3rd November 2006

ashdevdastid.jpgWow!!! I call this a big shock. I mean a big surprise. I don’t know how to react. Two days ago i posted a news regarding Aishwarya saying that people think that she is dating Abhishek. Well, Hummmm… Stop thinking guys. Start believing. Aishwarya and Abhishek are all set to marry in 2007.
According to Kannada newspaper ‘Vijayakarnataka’, Aishwarya and Abhishek will tie the knot sometime in February, 2007 and Aishwarya will officially announce the news on her birthday, November 1.The story was revealed to the newspaper by Bachchan family’s astrologer Chandrashekhara Swamiji. According to him the year 2006 will be unlucky for the married couple and so he advised Aishwarya and Abhishek to marry in 2007.

There is, however, no official confirmation of the reported wedding. The two stars, who have been romantically linked since over an year now, have consistently refused to confirm media speculation on the issue.

Past media reports have suggested that the couple have kept their wedding plans in abeyance pending a nod from the

Bachchan family, something that has so far not been forthcoming. In the recent past Ash has made great efforts to assuage any misgivings that the Bachchan family may have harbored about her abilities as a homemaker. Her efforts at winning the hearts of the Bachchan family include a hospital visit to Abhishek’s grandmother Teji Bachchan and frequent visits to the Bachchan home. Recently she and her family spent their Diwali with the Bachchans.

According to the report, Aishwarya (born in Dhanu Rashi) and Abhishek (born in Kumbha Rashi) marriage was likely to face roadblocks in 2006 problems but, from October 27, when the planetary positions change, both Ash and Abhi will have the support of Jupiter (Guru-bruhaspathi).

A horoscope match was confirmed in Nov 2005 when Amitabh’s brother, Ajitabh, visited a priest in Bangalore in the company of Abhishek, at the behest of Teji Bachchan.

It is reported that the ailing Teji Bachchan is very keen to see her grandson wed.

However it still remains to be seen how much truth lies behind all these rumours. Aishwarya has always been tightlipped about the relationship while Abhishek has managed to evade the topic whenever he has confronted the issue.

Is it another publicity gimmick ahead of the release of Aishwarya and Abhishek starrer movies - Dhoom 2 & Umrao Jaan? God knows. I think i will be happy to see Aishwarya tie a knot with Abhishek. Atleast that may put an end to Ashu and Vivek Oberoi’s friendship.

All the best to both Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan!!!
